Domestic Violence Outreach Ministry
The Domestic Violence Outreach Ministry supports domestic violence victims and seeks to educate our community to prevent domestic violence. We aim to raise awareness about domestic violence issues, and its prevalence in families throughout our society. St. Bernadette wants to reach out to provide opportunity for emotional, physical and spiritual healing.
Outreach Ministry
The men and women of the Queen of Martyrs - St. Bernadette Outreach group seek to assist members of our community in times of need with spiritual and financial assistance for food and other living expenses. Through requests and information provided by friends and neighbors, strategies are developed to approach, discuss, and provide support to those who have encountered difficult situations. Through temporary assistance, our group has helped others through tough times and welcomes parishioners of all ages to be a part of putting your faith into action in a profound way.
Ministers of Care
The Ministers of Care offer Communion to our home-bound parishioners who are unable to join us at St. Bernadette’s for Sunday Mass. Our home-bound parishioners are also invited to be Ministers of Praise who are asked to pray for our parish needs. Through these visits, our 25 ministers provide a bulletin, parish updates, and friendship to valued members of our parish community. Multi-session training is mandated and provided by the Archdiocese. The Ministers of Care invite anyone interested to help in this meaningful ministry. Ministers of Care gather bi-monthly September – May to share, reflect, and be updated.
