We would like to invite you and your family to our Welcome Back Mass and Celebration on Saturday, July 17, beginning with 4:00 p.m. Mass and continuing afterwards with dinner and drinks, live music, activities for children, and our Queen of Hearts raffle. This will be the one and only evening we host the drawing - we will continue drawing numbers until we unveil the Queen. Raffle tickets are available now, and we encourage you to participate by purchasing them either after Mass, at the rectory, or on the day of the celebration.
As part of the celebration, we invite you to participate in a candle ceremony prior to the Mass. All of us have experienced loss due to the pandemic: the loss of a job, the loss of time spent in the company of others, or the loss of life of a loved one. It is our hope that by acknowledging these losses as a community and sharing one another’s grief, we can find comfort in God and in one another. Candles will be available, both in the rectory and in the narthex after weekend Masses for you to take home and decorate, beginning on June 26. Then, on July 17, you may bring the candle back with you and place it in front of the main altar before the beginning of the Mass.
We also invite you to remember those who either lost their lives during the pandemic or dedicated themselves to the service of the community (such as doctors, nurses, EMTs, etc). There will be a Memorial Wall in the narthex, where we encourage you to include these intentions, along with the name of your family. We ask that you use the materials provided, which can be found in the narthex, along with directions on how you can add your prayer intentions. We also invite you to bring pictures of your family or loved ones that can be displayed on the Memorial Wall alongside your intention.
